"This week in EVE" is a weekly overview of EVE Online related news and events and shows what is going on in EVE Online. The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events. The summary of the previous week 33/2013 can be found here.
The current "This week in EVE" gives on overview of the week 34/2013 from August 17th to 23rd.

- EVE: Valkyrie announced
Building on the amazing response we received for our tech demo EVE: VR, CCP has announced a full game being developed.
- New Odyssey 1.1 patch on Singularity
CCP Habakuk reports there is a new patch on Singularity which should fix some of the bugs with our first 1.1 test patch. It does however have a few downsides.
- Bug Reports in German
While we certainly can handle bug reports submitted in German, our English bug reports are processed much faster, so if you can submit them clearly in English we prefer that!
- No changes to the Rattlesnake in 1.1
CCP Ytterbium rolls the dice and they come up with no changes to the Rattlesnake in 1.1! Sorry to disappoint anyone.
- Featured Fansite: EvE-Site Hosting
In our first Featured Fansite, CCP Gargant shares the value of EvE-Site Hosting!
- Updated Command Ship Changes
CCP Fozzie is balancing again and based on your feedback, has made some changes to the upcoming Command Ship rebalancing, giving the Nighthawk and Sleipnir more fitting space.
- Damnation not having its HP bonus removed
The Damnation is not having its HP bonus removed in 1.1, but CCP Fozzie goes into detail about why such a bonus doesn't really do what we want it to.
- EVE Symphony to eventually be released in other mediums
CCP Falcon brings word from CCP Doom about the potential to release the EVE Symphony soundtrack in other formats beyond purely digital.
- CSM August Summit Schedule
CCP Dolan has released the full schedule for the August CSM summit.
- Sanctuary Image Contest rewards in 1.1
CCP Goliath reports that all the rewards for the Sanctuary Image Contest will be given out during the 1.1 release, except for the grand prize (which will take longer to create).
- Iteration on Hacking is being explored
CCP RedDawn updates everyone on the latest when it comes to the new hacking mechanic and announces the merger of two teams to form the new Team Kuromako.
- Freelance Translators applications being reviewed now
Because of the volume of responses to our request for freelance translators, CCP Shiny is still going through them! She hopes to have finished by the end of the month.
- CREST for Planetary Conquest
The second public data point for CREST is being released, this time for Planetary Conquest districts in DUST 514!
